Thyroid health happens to be a pretty big deal.
That’s because the thyroid gland produces “hormones that regulate the body’s metabolic rate controlling heart, muscle and digestive function, brain development, and bone maintenance.” This butterfly-shaped gland sits on either side of your trachea (windpipe), just below the larynx, and needs the proper nutrition to make sure it works appropriately.
In particular, iodine!
The cells that produce “thyroid hormones are very specialized in extracting and absorbing iodine from the blood and incorporate it into the thyroid hormones.”
Iodine is a mineral found in the “earth’s soil and ocean waters.” Like all minerals, our body needs certain amounts to make everything function appropriately. When it comes to iodine, you need this mineral to make thyroid hormones. Iodine is the backbone for healthy thyroid function and is even used to manage overactive thyroid gland and thyroid cancer.
Along with thyroid health, iodine also reduces the risk of goiters, is essential for neurodevelopment during pregnancy, improves cognition, treats infections, and is even used to disinfect water and protect the thyroid from radiation. Iodine is found in “saltwater and plant-based foods … [but] this mineral is most-widely available in iodized salt.”
Yet, it can oftentimes be difficult to source nutrients from the food you eat, therefore it’s oftentimes a good idea to find yourself a good supplement.
With that said, it’s always important to speak with a medical professional about any supplements before beginning a new regimen!

I use these to boost my thyroid meds and my doctor has definitely noticed a difference. I cant find kelp pills at my local whole foods anymore so I decided to try different types. I tried some from Walmart that were garbage and did nothing to help my thyroid. I switched to these and according to my bloodwork, they boost my thyroid meds just like the whole foods ones. These are slightly pricier than the whole foods ones but worth the difference because its more convenient than checking other stores. I’m on my 2nd bottle and definitely recommend.”

I have been taking this along with the Adrenal Support product (same brand) for less than a month and have noticed a dramatic positive change in my mood and energy increase. I would not count on taking this alone and think that all of your symptoms will just magically disappear- this is a great tool but you have to start eating healthy if you want to get your metabolism back and to feel even better. I have cut out gluten, soy, wheat, and have dairy sparingly, I take my levothyroxine, B1 vitamins, this Thyroid support along with the Adrenal Support, drink almost a gallon of water a day, and I have noticed huge-huge-huge changes from only less than a month ago. Everyone is different but if anyone is reading this- pay attention to the way you feel after eating certain foods…if you feel bloated and tired after eating a certain food then you should cut that out. I also cook with coconut oil instead of any of the other oils. I hope this helps someone!”
